THE TREASURES FROM BENEATH THE THRONE

"On no soul does Allah place a burden greater than it can bear. It gets every good that it earns, and it suffers every ill that it earns. (Pray: ) “Our Lord! Condemn us not if we forget or fall into error; our Lord! Lay not on us a burden like that which You laid on those before us; Our Lord! Lay not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Blot out our sins, and grant us forgiveness. Have mercy on us. You are our Protector; Help us against those who stand against faith." (Surah 2: 285-286)

These 2 priceless verses from the Quran would hardly take 10 minutes to memorize off by-heart, but it will fill your life with goodness, both in this world and the Aakhira, In sha Allah. 

1. It is reported on the authority of Ibn Mas’ud from Rasoolillah Sallalahu Aalaihi Wasallam that he said: “Whoever recited the last two verses of Suratul Baqarah at night, they will be sufficient for him.” [Bukhari]

2. It is reported on the authority of Abu Dharr that he said: “Allah’s Messenger Sallalahu Aalaihi Wasallam said: “I was given the final verses of Surath Al-Baqarah from a treasure trove beneath the Throne; no Prophet before me was given them.” (Ahmad)


3. On the authority of ‘Abdullah, it is reported that: “When Allah’s Messenger Sallalahu Aalaihi Wasallam was taken on a journey (to the seven heavens), he arrived at Sidrat al-Muntaha- a tree in the seventh Heaven and it is at the entrance to the seventh. All things which ascend from the earth stop and are held there as do all things which descend from above (It is with regard to this that).

Allah (SWT) said: “Behold! the Lote tree was shrouded with that which shrouds.” (Qur’an 53: 16) He (the narrator) said: “It (that which shrouded the tree) was (a covering of) golden butterflies.” He further added: “The Messenger of Allah (SAW) was given three things: He was given five prayers, he was given the concluding verses of Surat Al-Baqarah and forgiveness of sins for those (of his community) who do not associate partners with Allah (SWT).” (Muslim)

4. It is reported from ‘Uqbah Ibn ‘Amir Al-Juhani (RA) that he said that Allah’s Messenger Sallalahu Aalaihi Wasallam said: “Recite the last two verses from Surat Al-Baqarah, for I was given them from a treasure trove beneath the Throne” (Ahmad)

5. It is reported on the authority of Hudhaifah that Allah’s Messenger Sallalahu Aalaihi Wasallam said: “We have been favoured over the rest of mankind with three things: I was given these verses from the end of Surat Al- Baqarah from a house of treasure located beneath the Throne: None before me has been given them, and they will not be given to anyone after me.” (Narrated by Ibn Mardawaih)

6. It is reported on the authority of ‘Ali (RA) that he said: “I do not consider it fitting for anyone who has understood Islam to sleep (at night) until he has recited AyatAl- Kursi-and the ending of Surat Al-Baqarah, for they are a gift to your Prophet Sallalahu Aalaihi Wasallam from the treasure which lies beneath the Throne.” (Narrated by Ibn Mardawaih)

7. It is reported on the authority of An-Nu’man Ibn Basheer from the Prophet Sallalahu Aalaihi Wasallam that he said: “Verily, Allah (SWT) wrote something two thousand years before He created the heavens and the earth, then He (SWT) sent down from it two verses with which He (SWT) sealed (ended) Surat Al-Baqarah (the cow), and if they are not recited in any house for three nights, Satan approaches it.”
(Al-Hakim narrated it thus, and declared it authentic in accordance with the conditions of acceptance applied by Muslim)

8. It is reported from Sa’eed and Ibn ‘Abbas that they said that the Messenger of Allah Sallalahu Aalaihi Wasallam used to laugh when he read the last verses of Surat Al Baqarah and Ayat Al- Kursi and he would say: “Verily, they are both from the treasure of Allah (SWT), which lies beneath the Throne.” And when he recited: “Whoever does evil will be recompensed accordingly.” (Qur’an 4: 123) And: (And that man will have nothing except what he strives for and that [the fruit of] his striving will be seen, then will he be rewarded with a reward complete.) (Qur’an 53: 39-41), then he would sit back, at ease.” (Narrated by Ibn Mardawaih)

9. It is reported from M’aqal Ibn Yasar that he said: The Messenger of Allah Sallalahu Aalaihi Wasallam said: “I was given Fatihat al Kitab and the closing (verses) of Surat Al-Baqarah from beneath the Throne…” (Narrated by Ibn Mardawaih)

10. It is reported on the authority of Ibn ‘Abbas that when Jibreel was sitting with the Prophet (SAW) he heard the sound of a door opening above and he raised his eyes to the heavens and said: “This is a door which has opened in the heavens which has never been opened before.” And an angel descended from it and came to the Prophet Sallalahu Aalaihi Wasallam  and said: “I bring you the good tidings of two Lights which have been given to you and no Prophet before you has ever received them: Fatihat al Kitaba and the final verses of Surat Al-Baqarah; you shall not recite a single letter from them except that it (the reward of the recitation) will be given to you.” (Narrated by Ibn Abi Laila)

Every bit of knowledge comes with a responsibility, so make sure that you share the virtues of the last 2 verses of Surah Baqarah with your family and friends. May the Love, Blessings and Mercy of Allah be forever in your lives!

A COMPILATION OF SIMPLE DUAS TO BE RECITED DURING RAMADHAN

We’ll never know if this will be our last Ramadhan, so we should make sure that we make use of every second in this Blessed Month by remembering these simple Duas to be recited in the first 10 days, second 10 days and the last 10 days of Ramadhan respectively. All it takes is a few minutes and SubhanAllah, what great rewards we can get through these Duas. For one thing, you can be sure of getting closer to Allah by reciting these Duas, for another these supplications were taught by our beloved Muhammad (sallalahu alaihi wasallam) and following his Sunnah gets us the reward of a Fardh. Duas will elevate our status in the day of Qiyamah and for all we know reciting these Duas may be the cause for our entrance into Jannah and protection from Jahannam. Remember, Allah is never in need of our, we are the ones who need Allah to listen to us, to hear our needs and wants.

First Ashra (from 1st Ramadan to 10th of Ramadan)

The first ten days of Ramadhan are the days of Rahamath. Recites these Duas taught by our Prophet Muhammad (sallalahu alaihi wasallam) to make sure that we receive Allah’s infinite mercy and love:

اللهمً اِرحمنا برحمتِكِ يا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِِمِين

(Allahumma arhamnaa birahmathika ya arhama rahimaeen)  
Oh Allah, Have mercy on us Oh the Most Merciful.

يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّوْمُ بِرَحْمَتِكَ أَسْتَغِيْث

Yaa Hayy Yaa Qayyoom birahmatika astagheeth
Oh You Who is Everliving and Sustains and Protects everything, I seek assistance through the means of Your mercy.

ربَّنا رَّبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرًا

Rabbana rabbir hamhuma kama rabbayani saghira                                                         My Lord! bestow on them (parents) thy Mercy even as they cherished me in childhood.

اللَّهُمَّ اِنّى اسْتَغْفِرُكَ لِذَنْبِى وَ اسْئَلُكَ رَحْمَتَكَ

Allahumma inni astaghfiruka li dhanbi wa as'aluka rahmatak

O Allah!  I ask You for Forgiveness for my sins, and for Your Mercy.

رَبَّنَا آمَنَّا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمِينَ

Rabbana amannaa faghfir lana warhamna wa anta khayrur Rahimeen                            Our Lord! We believe; then do Thou forgive us, and have mercy upon us: For Thou art the Best of those who show mercy

Second Ashra (from 11th Ramadan to 20th Ramadan)

The second ten days of Ramadhan is the time when Allah opens the doors of forgiveness on us more than anytime of the year, so seek forgiveness from Allah with these Duas:

الَّلهمً اغْفِرلَنا ذُنوبَنا وَ خَطَايانا كُلَّهَا يَا رَبَّ العَالمين

Allahumma agh’firlana wa khathaayana kullaha ya rabbal aalameen
Oh Allah, forgive all of our sins and mistakes Oh Lord of the Worlds.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اَنْتَ رَبِّىْ لآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ خَلَقْتَنِىْ وَاَنَاْ عَبْدُكَ وَاَنَاْ عَلٰى عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ اَعُوْذُبِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ اَبُوْءُلَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَىَّ وَاَبُوْءُ بِذَمنْبِىْ فَا اغْفِرْلِى فَاِنَّه لَا يَغْفِرُ الذَّنُوْبَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ

'Allaahmma anta rabbee laa ilaaha illaa Anta khalaqtanee wa ana 'abduka wa ana 'alaa 'ahdika wa wa'dika mastata't A'oothu bika min sharri ma sana't Aboo'u laka bi ni'matika alayya wa aboo'u laka bi zhanbee Faghfir lee Fa innahoo laa yaghfiruth-thunooba illaa ant.'
O Allah, You are my Lord. There is no God besides You. You created me and I am Your servant, following Your covenant and [my] promise to You as much as I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil that I have done. Before You I acknowledge Your blessings bestowed upon me and I confess my sins to You. So forgive me, for surely no one can forgive sins except You.

اللَّهُمَّ اعْفِرْلِى ذَنْبِئ كُلَّهُ، و جِلَّهُ، وَ أوَّلَهُ وَ آخِرَهُ عَلا نِيَتَهُ وَ سِرَّهُ

Allahumma-aghfir li dhanbi kullahu, wa jillahu, wa awwalahu wa akhirahu, wa 'ala niyatahu wa sirrahu
O Allah! Forgive me all my sins, great and small, the first and the last, those that are apparent and those that are hidden.

لا إِلَهَ اِلاَّ أَنتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمين

La illaha illa Anta Subhanak, inni kuntu min adh-dhalimeen
There is no God but You; Glory be to You, Truly I have been one of the wrongdoers.

اللّهُـمَّ إِنِّـي ظَلَـمْتُ نَفْسـي ظُلْمـاً كَثـيراً وَلا يَغْـفِرُ الذُّنـوبَ إِلاّ أَنْت ، فَاغْـفِر لي مَغْـفِرَةً مِنْ

عِنْـدِك وَارْحَمْـني، إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الغَـفورُ الرَّحـيم

Allaahumma inni zalamtu nafsi zulman katheeran wa laa yaghfir ul-dhunooba illa anta faghfir li maghfiratan min ‘indaka warhamni innaka anta al-ghafoor al-raheem

O Allaah, I have wronged myself greatly and no one forgives sins but You, so grant me forgiveness from You and have mercy on me, for You are the Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

  أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ الْعَظِيمَ الَّذِي لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْْقَيُّومُ وَ أَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ

Astaghfirullaahal-‘Azeem alladhi laa ilaaha illa huwal-hayyul-qayyoom wa atoobu ilayhi

I ask forgiveness of Allaah the Almighty, besides Whom there is no god, the Ever-Living, the Eternal, and I repent to Him

أسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ وَ أتُوبُ إلَيْهِ

Astaghfirullaha wa atūūbu ilaihi

I seek the Forgiveness of Allah and repent to Him.

اللْهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي

Allahumma innaka `afuwwun tuhibbul `afwa fa`fu `annee
O Allah, You are pardoning and You love to pardon, so pardon me.

أسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ ربِّي مِن كلِّ ذنب وََّ اتُوبُ اِليه

"Astaghfirullaha rabbi min kulli zhambiyu wa atoobu ilayh

O Allah! I seek forgiveness from all my sins, and I turn towards You in repentance.

رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَا أَنفُسَنَا وَإِن لَّمْ تَغْفِرْ لَنَا وَتَرْحَمْنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ

Rabbana Dhalamna anfusina wa il lam taghfir lana wa tarhamna lana kuna minal-khasireen 

Our Lord! We have wronged our own souls: If thou forgive us not and bestow not upon us Thy Mercy, we shall certainly be lost.

رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَوْمَ يَقُومُ الْحِسَابُ

Rabbanaghfir li wa li wallidayya wa lil Mu'mineena yawma yaqumul hisaab

O our Lord! Cover (us) with Thy Forgiveness - me, my parents, and (all) Believers, on the Day that the Reckoning will be established!

أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ الْعَظِيمَ الَّذِي لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْْقَيُّومُ وَ أَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ

 Astaghfirullah al-'Adheemal-ladhi la ilaha illa Huwal-Hayyul-Qayyum wa atubu ilaih

 I seek the forgiveness of Allah the Mighty, Whom there is none worthy except Him, the Living, The Eternal, and I repent unto Him

يا واسَعَ الفَضْل اغْفِرْلي

Ya Wasi 'al fadhli ighfirli

Oh the One who is great in Bounties, Forgive me.

الَّلهمَّ مَغْفِرَتُكَ أَوْسَع مِن ذُنوبي وَرَحْمتُكَ أَرْجَى عِنْدي مِن عَمَل

Allahuma maghfiratoka awsaa’ min zhunoobi Wa rahmatoka arja ‘indey min ‘amalee

Oh Allah, Your forgiveness is greater than my sins and my hope in Your mercy is greater to me than my actions.

Third Ashra (from 21st Ramadan to end of Ramadan)

The last 10 days of Ramadhan is for emancipation from the fire of Jahannam. Recite these Duas to ask Allah for protection against the hellfire:

رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ

Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil ‘akhirati hasanatan waqina ‘adhaban-nar

Our Lord! Grant us good in this world and good in the hereafter, and save us from the chastisement of the fire

الَْلهُمَّ أَجِِرْنَا مِنَ النَّار

Allahumma Ajirni Minan Naar

Oh Allah, save us from the fire of Hell.

الَّلهُمَّ اَعْتِقنا مِنَ انًارِ وَ اَدْخِلْنا الجَنَةَ يا َرَبَّ العَلَمين

Allahumma a’thiknaa mina-nari wa adhuhulnal jannatha ya rabbal Alameen.

Oh Allah, protect us from the Hellfire and enter us into Paradise, Oh Lord of the worlds.

الَّلهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْألُكَ الجَّنَّةَ وَأَعُوذُبِِِكَ مِنَ النَّار

Allahumma innee Asalukal jannah waa’uzubika minna naar 

Oh Allah, I ask For Paradise, and Protection from the fire.

Specific Dhikr to be recited after every Fardh Salaah in Ramadhan

Recite the following dikr throughout Ramadan after every fardh Salah.

أشهد أن لا اله إلا الله استغفرالله أسألك ألجنة واعوذ بك من النار

Ashhadu allailaha illallah asthagfirullah as-alukal jannatha wa audhubka minannaar (3times)

I bear witness that there is no God but Allah, O Allah forgive me, give me Paradise, protect me from Hell Fire

There's a famous Hadith in which 4 things to be done in great abundance in Ramadhan, "two which please Allah and two which you cannot do without"

Two which please Allah: 1. Read Kalimah Tayyibah in abundance 2. Seek forgiveness from Allah

Two which you can't do without: 3. Ask Allah for entry into Jannah 4. Seek protection from the fire of Jahannam

May Allah grant us the Thowfeeq to do all these A’maals in the blessed month of Ramadhan, In Sha Allah. And if you do remember, please make Dua for the whole of the Ummah and I humbly ask you to make Dua for me and my family too.

رَبَّنا تَقَبَّل مِنَّا اِنّك انت السميع العليم، آمين

Oh Allah, Accept from us for surely You are the All-Hearer, All-Knowing. Ameen.

SYRIA, YOU ARE IN OUR DUAS

The whole month, we've been watching, reading and seeing the strife unfolding in Syria and Wallah I can't bear seeing another child massacred so ruthlessly. Syria needs her brothers and sisters in Islam to pray for her. The Muslim Ummah is one whole body; just as when one part of the body is in the pain the whole body suffers, we should feel the pain and the angst of our brothers and sisters in Syria. No one can put it so beautifully as our Beloved Nabi Muhammad (SAL) said: “The similitude of believers in regard to mutual love, affection, fellow-feeling is that of one body; when any limb of it aches, the whole body aches, because of sleeplessness and fever.” [Muslim]. It doesn't matter that they are split into different political states or that they belong to different Madhahibs/Fiqh, as long as the person is a Muslim; they are a part of your body.

The Syrian Revolution publicly begun on March 15th 2011, demanding freedom and human rights. 11 months later and the Syrian people persist on protesting strongly against the tyranny and brutality of the Syrian regime.

11 months later and the Syrian people have only become stronger and more determined to bring down this regime of tyranny, oppression and corruption.

11 months later and the Syrian people have lost 8000 beloved fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, daughters and sons – for speaking up against what’s wrong.

11 months later and children all over Syria have been robbed of their childhood, deprived of living a life that the kids in other countries enjoy.

535 of them have been killed, slaughtered mercilessly and massacred all for speaking up for their rights…

Another incalculable number of them have been tortured and imprisoned.

Since March 15th, at least 8064 people have been killed in Syria, amongst them 535 children and 250 women.

350,000 injured.
200,000 imprisoned.
Over 22,000 refugees.

And what did we do?

O King, O the Holy One

Please grant peace to

In Syria

Please grant them strength to fight

And give them Your Protection

O Guardian O The Mighty One!

Ya Al Muhaymin Ya Aziz

Please take care of my Muslim brothers

And sisters in Syria

O Enforcer O Supreme One

Ya Al Jabbar Al Mutakabbir

I prostrate myself to You

Humbling myself to You

Please free Syria

O Lord, Our Creator, The Evolver

Al Khaliq Al Bari

Please do not let any more

Of my Muslim brothers and sisters

In Syria die, O Allah please!

O Fashioner, O my Lord

You are the Forgiver

Ya Musawwir Ya Gaffar

You are Our Creator

Please forgive the people of Syria

And please forgive us all

Ya Gaffar, I know I am covered in sins

Ya Rabb, please forgive me

And accept my Duas for my dear brothers and sisters in Syria

Ya Al Qahhar Al Wahhab

The Subduer, The Bestower

Please bestow upon Syria

Your Great Mercy Ya Allah!

Ya Razzaq Ya Al Fattah

O The Provider, The Opener

Please open the gates of Victory

For the people in Syria

O Allah please also open the gates of Jannah

For my Muslim brothers and sisters who have died in Syria

O Allah please provide sustenance for Syria

Please provide for them everything they need

And take care of them-Ameen

Ya Alim Ya Qabid

O the All-Knowing, O The Seizer

O Allah You know everything

Nothing is hidden from You

Please destroy Bashar and his evil army

O Allah! Please do not let any blood be shed

O Allah I cannot even imagine

What they are going through!

Please help them Ya Malik Ya Rahim

O The Expander, The Abaser

Please make it easy

On the people of Syria

O The Exalter, The Dignifier

Please Exalt honour to the Syrians

In the world, on the Day of Judgement

And the Hereafter Ya Rabb Al Alameen

Ya Mujill Ya As Sami

O Abaser, The All-Hearing One

Please humiliate Bashar & his evil army

Please listen to our Duas O Allah!

O All-Seeing One, Our Judge

Please grant justice to Syria

The Just, The Subtle

And Complain to You

We are far away from Syria

But You are closer to them

Than their jugular veins

Please listen to this dua

And accept this from me

This is all I want today

Right now Ya Rabb!

My eyes are filled with tears

And I want Only You

To wipe it away from me

How you clear the clouds from darkness

After Rain

O Allah I have never heard such things

In my life

I cannot bear an inch of what is happening

To the people of Syria

How men has lacked mercy

And became harder than any stone

In the world

But You are the Lord of the Worlds

To You we thank, O The Appreciative One!

Ya Ash Shakur

Ya 'Ali, The Most High

Please hear our plight

Ya Kabir, Ya Hafiz

My Lord, Most Great

To You I humble my body, my soul

My heart in pain

Asking You to preserve the people of Syria

O Allah! Al Muqit, Al Hasib

To You I ask for Help

Please O Allah!

O The One, The Unique, The Absolute, The Able

You are able to do all things

Please protect Syria and grant them relief O Allah!

Ya Muqtadir, Ya Muqaddam, Ya Muakkhir, Al Awal, Al Akhir

The Powerful, The Expeditor, The Delayer, The First, The Last

Yours is the Power alone

Please destroy the wrongdoers

O The Manifest, Hidden, Supreme Governor, The Most Exalted

Please help Syria

Ya Al-Barr, At-Tawwab, Al-Muntaqim

The Source of All Good, The Acceptor of Repentance, The Avenger

Please forgive us all

O Allah, please avenge every Syrian death

And grant them Shahadah

Every day people in Syria are dying

People are losing their loved ones

And are being tortured and murdered

Please envelop Syria in Your Mercy

O Most Gracious Most High Lord!

Ya Al-Afu, Ar-Rauf, Al Malik ul Mulk

O The Pardoner, The Clement, The Master of Soverignty

Yours is the Soverignty, Yours is the Praise

No one forgives sins except You

Please forgive Syria and grant them victory!

Ya Jul-Jalali-Wal-Ikram, Ya Muqsit, Ya Jami’

The Lord of Majesty & Generosity, The Equitable, The Gatherer

I seek Only Your help

For my brothers and sisters in Syria

For I cannot do anything for them

But I have hope in You

Ya Ghani, Ya Mughni, Ya Mani’, Ya Dhaar

The Self Sufficient, The Enricher, The Preventor, The One who causes Loss

Please prevent any harm from coming

To the people of Syria

Ya Nafi’, Ya Nur, Ya Hadi, Ya Badi, Ya Baqi, Ya Warith, Ya Rashid, Ya Sabur

O The Propitious, The Light, The Guide, The Originator, The Everlasting, The Inheritor, The Righteous, The Patient

O Allah! I Invoke You with Your Great Special 99 Names and Attributes!

Please help the Masakeen, This Ummah, The People of Syria for I cannot help but cry for them. When I get even a small inch of tiny hurt, I can't help but think for the greatest of pains they have been suffering. I might have lost a few loved ones in life but they have lost many and watched them die in front of their own eyes. They have been the victims of massive oppression and crimes. They are oppressed. While the world waits and lets them die, I cannot for they are my brothers and sisters in faith. Their pain is mine as well. I thank You for everything You have given me but I cannot be happy if they are deprived of every happiness. I know You love them so much, I know You are testing them. In only You alone they put their trust in and I have hope in You that You will accept my Dua today that and You will take good care of my dear brothers and sisters in Syria.

Ameen thumma Ameen O Allah! Please Help! Please Please I beg You to help my dear brothers and sisters in Syria! Ya Rabb Al Alameen! O Lord of the Heavens and the Earth!! Allahu Akbar!!

Abud-Darda' (Radhiallaho anha) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (Sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) saying, "Whenever a Muslim supplicates for his (Muslim) brother in his absence, the angels say: `May the same be for you too'.''

Additionally, make sure you recite Qunut Nazilah that our Prophet prescribed when the Ummah is a facing difficult time.
